Hive Garden Bistro in Denver

Got food poisoning... ordered the Portobello mushroom sandwich and lemonade. Was sick immediately after I consumed and have been sick for 5 days now. Will never eat there again. Waited in line for 25 minutes just to order the food.... highly disappointed!

If making a trip to the Botanic Gardens, I would definitely recommend getting lunch here. The setting is incredible. The food is what you would expect, but they have some great healthy options. I have a membership to the gardens and walk here frequently for lunch.

They didn’t have paletas or slushees; which were both on the menu.

Great restaurant in the Denver botanical gardens, they have vegan options, I had the artichoke poboy sandwich which was a little dry but very good and sweet potato fries and coleslaw was very good!

I got the pollinator salad and aqua fresca, both were great! I wasn't expecting much from a restaurant inside of botanical gardens, but the menu was varied and fresh. There were many attractive options, especially in the fresh salad vein. I recommend setting time aside to eat here and enjoy the view.

Healthy, tasty food, compostable utensils, incredible views

I had a special of the day sandwich and peach lemonade with oregano and both were delicious! They don't serve a small bag of chips with the sandwich but a huge mound of kettle-cooked chips :)

Terrible food had the salad with chicken dried out frozen puck. Overpriced

Nice outdoor cafe located in the Denver Botanic Gardens. Sandwiches, pizza, hamburgers, drinks. Can be a bit expensive, but it's the convenience that counts. Place and pay for your order, and take a seat, as your order is brought out to you.

Ordered 1 drink and never got it. Had to go ask for it, tell them again what it was and never got an apology. Also didn’t ask if I was a member for a discount.

Great tasting food and very convenient. We often bring our own lunch when visiting the botanical gardens but it's nice to know their is a healthy, tasty option available when we don't. It's also AWESOME that all their stuff (plates, utensils etc) are compostable.

2 stars because the food is good but the guy working at the register today (7/14 at around 7 pm), and the girl with glasses running food, were extremely rude and dismissive. I ordered an ice cream cone, along with some other food. After sitting for 5 minutes, I asked the girl about my ice cream cone when she delivered my food and she just questioned me about it. So, after waiting another 5 minutes for her to return, I went back to the register to find her avoiding me. After another minute or two of waiting, I got her attention for her to try and avoid me again... brushing me off to the guy working the register. She absolutely seemed like she did not want to help me, and when she finally brought me my ice cream, she wouldn’t make eye contact and was very rude. The people working there really seemed like they didn’t care about their jobs, which was a huge difference from the kind ladies working the entrance. Super bummed! I now know not to order ice cream.

I loved their iced green tea and the pleasant outdoor patio. Staff was helpful and nice. A little oasis in paradise is how I would sum it up.

One of my favorite parts about taking a trip to Denver Botanic Gardens! After strolling through the gardens, it’s nice to stop by the bistro for a lovely lunch. They serve fresh food with unique ingredients, like their lavender lemonade. Their salmon salad with citrus dressing is also to die for. Every time I’ve eaten here with friends or family, the food is outstanding. They have a cute wooden patio overlooking part of the gardens.

Food is good, view is better. I don't mind paying an extra couple bucks for good food in a great setting like this. Bacon cheeseburger and sweet potato fries were the best I've had so far in Denver. 😊 👍

Not only is the Botanic Gardens our favorite place, the Hive has some really delicious choices. Perfect spot for lunch or dinner while visiting the gardens.

The food is good though overpriced. The garden is a lovely setting for a meal. It gets crowded. People can get very rude. I don't like crowds so I didn't give it five stars. My favorite item on the menu is the artichoke po' boy with sweet potato fries. It is always delicious.

Wow. Loved every second.

While at the Denver Botanic Gardens, my wife and I wanted something cool to drink since it was a hot afternoon. We got a mint passionfruit agua freca and a frozen virgin pina colada and both drinks were delicious! The agua fresca was extremely refreshing and the pina colada was incredibly flavorful and tasty.

Fresh lemonade and iced tea brewed daily.

Great salads with surprisingly fantastic grilled chicken. And unlimited tasty green tea.

Had a great time.

Loved this place!!! Mostly i came here for tea and coffee. I always recommended outdoor sitting. Such a great sitting place here. You can enjoy superb taste of coffee without any noise creation. Highly recommended. Great people as well as atmosphere.

The food was terrible and way over priced, but at least they gave me a refund.

Salmon BLT and regular BLT delicious. Of course you party a premium for being inside the Botanic Gardens, but it was reasonable.

Th,e prices are pretty high. I'd hate to be a young family trying to eat here. Perhaps better to let grandparents treat the kids here for a special occasion. We also experienced some mild annoyance on the part of staff when we asked them to open the door (5 minutes after their posted opening time) so we could get coffee. Fortunately the lovely location and the fact that you can sit on the deck and enjoy the bagels and cream cheese you brought with you makes it worthwhile!

The setting is beautiful (5 stars) the staff is unfriendly (-3 stars). It is clear the young folks working here would rather be elsewhere. After visiting Denver for a week and getting nothing but friendly, helpful service, this place was a disappointment. (7/20@7:20pm). Visit the cafe near the entrance and bring your food here. The staff there was incredibly patient and kind.

This outdoor restaurant overlooking the beautiful lily pond at the Botanic Garden is my happy place! They are taking many precautions for Covid so it feels very safe to eat there compared to other places in town. Their salads are fresh and delicious and the burgers and wood-oven pizzas are worth splurging on. The fruit & tea drinks are very refreshing and not too sweet. As a bonus, all their cups, plates, etc. are 100% compostable. I love this place so much!

Delicious food & great atmosphere in the denver botanic gardens!

Excellent food, incredible atmosphere. A duck watched me eat, ready to strike. Loved my meal and the look of the Bistro itself.
